Location:

The Potsdam Public Museum is located at 2 Park Street, Civic Center, Potsdam, N.Y. 13676 We are 2 1/2 hours north of Syracuse, N.Y., 2 hours west of Montreal, Canada, and 1 1/2 hours northwest of Lake Placid, N.Y.

We are located in the Potsdam Civic Center, which also houses the Village of Potsdam Offices, the Potsdam Public Library and the Emergency Services. The emergency services complex contains the Potsdam Police Department and Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad. Also in the same block is the Potsdam Fire Department.

Hours:

We are open Tuesday through Saturday noon to 6PM. The museum is free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated.

The museum is closed some holidays.  If we are your destination, please call in advance to be sure we are open.

Directions:

The museum at the Civic Center,  2 Park Street,  is located in the middle of the village, on the east side of the Raquette River. We are between Elm and Main Streets and across from the Old Snell Hall and village green.For a current map of Potsdam go to the downloads on the left side of the homepage.

Access to the Museum:

The museum is accessible through the Emergency Services entrance. Take the elevator to the second floor and follow directions to the museum. Restrooms are on the first level across from the elevators.
